Devious Collections

Journal Entry: Tue Feb 12, 2008, 3:01 AM
Wow. Thanks, deviantART!
Now I can add things to my favourites without evenhaving to VIEW them first, let alone take the time to study it and leave a thoughtful comment! And with Devious Collections, I can now separate my favourite Naruto fanart from my favourite Kingdom Hearts slash from my favourite random-ass emo-styled boys wearing makeup. All SIX HUNDRED MILLION deviations, all my VERY FAVOURITE.
Remember, Devious Comments take time and energy! Give the artist a BIGGER compliment by simply hitting and favorite button and browsing along without a second thought. Because after all, I know when *I* ask for critique, I really mean "Add this to your Devious Collection without a word; it would be the utmost honor!"
I mean, there's got to be SOME reason why a picture would be one of my FAVOURITES of everything on deviantART and yet I didn't see fit to tell the artist why. Let them figure it out, I suppose?
If you DO comment, make sure it's something short like "Cool :D" or (especially) along the lines of "omg! it's kawaii! ^.^;;" Nothing too long or useful, especially if critique is requested. Artists don't like that.
Always thank people for :+fav:ing even without comenting, because it takes a lot of work to add things to Collections. I mean, you have to drag it and everything. What a pain.

Grumpy LaMeep out.

Oh, I totally hear you. This new collection box thing really pisses me off.

Way to inspire a better art community, DA. -__-#

Power, Wisdom, and Courage...
Bringing the world of Hyrule to life!
WORD.

Drive-by-faves are bad enough, they shouldn't make it that much easier.

Also, is it wierd to wonder why someone adds your art to a certain collection? Like, I kind of want to go "no! Not there! Put it in this other one!"

Oh of course.

Everytime I add some Metroid fanart to my favorites, I leave a comment explaining why it affects me so.

"Well, On the 26th of March 16 years ago, I was born and..."

"The Hunted fears the Huntress..."

OrbAdiemus: see if i care! hmph.
Samus Chan: You obviously do, since you asked.
OrbAdiemus: yeah i know, reverse psychology doesn't work on crazy space-borne pirate-hunting ladies like you, samus
I don't mind when people fave my stuff without telling me why. I don't get all pissy and "YOU COULD AT LEAST TELL ME WHY!!1" and entitled like that. Faves are nice, comments are better.
It's only when I get a bunch of faves and nobody comments it bums me out a little. There are a serious lack of comments being handed out on dA, and encouraging faves makes it worse.
XD Yes. Although I haven't had anything added to any collections yet, I don't think, so I wouldn't know.
Wouldn't they even tell you WHY they put it into a certain collection? Seems weird to me.
lol I know right?
Also, sup with you? I haven't commented on your arts lately because I'm a hypocrite. >> Sorry.
More like... sloppy and lacking in wit. >_> But thank you!
